What is beard dandruff, really?<\/h2>\n

Beard dandruff is the same phenomenon as scalp dandruff, just on the face. Dead skin cells build up and shed \u2013 often due to dryness, sometimes due to an overgrowth of a yeast (Malassezia) that\u2019s present on most people\u2019s skin anyway. The skin under the beard is especially prone to it, because the hair draws moisture away.<\/p>\n
